CG Motors, the official distributor of Geely vehicles in Nepal, has announced a new financing offer for its electric pickup, the Riddara RD6. The RD6, developed by Geely’s EV division, is now available with a down payment starting at Rs. 9.99 lakhs, aimed at making electric pickups more accessible to Nepali buyers.
The Riddara RD6 is built on Geely’s dedicated electric vehicle architecture, the MAP platform. This particular variant features a 63 kWh battery powering a single electric motor that produces 200 kW and 385 Nm of torque. On a full charge, the RD6 delivers an NEDC-rated driving range of up to 377 km. The suspension setup consists of MacPherson struts in the front and a multi-link system at the rear, which should help provide a more stable and comfortable drive, especially given Nepal’s varied road conditions.
In terms of utility, the RD6 comes equipped with a 1200-liter rear cargo bed and a 70-liter front trunk. It also features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing external electronic devices to be powered directly from the vehicle—an increasingly popular feature in modern EVs.
Other notable features include three selectable drive modes (Comfort, Economy, and Sport), 360-degree cameras for improved visibility, adaptive matrix LED headlights, and a body structure reinforced with 66% high-strength steel for added safety.
CG Motors is also bundling several customer incentives as part of its new campaign. These include a cashback offer, free accessories, and an exchange bonus of up to Rs. 3 lakhs.
To support the ownership experience, CG Motors has expanded its after-sales network with more than 20 authorized service centers and access to over 260 EV charging stations across the country.
The RD6 marks Geely’s entry into Nepal’s electric pickup market, where options remain limited. With this launch, CG Motors appears to be targeting both private and commercial buyers looking for a capable EV with practical utility and a longer driving range.
